Available Aussies from A Life Choice
Adopt an Abused or Abandoned Australian Shepherd

UPDATED: Wednesday, 02.03.10

We are temporarily unable to accept any more dogs. Still, Life Choice will be happy to help you with behavior issues to help you fulfill your responsibility to your pet, companion and friend. We still have numerous dogs available for adoption, so please email us at to find the perfect pet and companion for you!

Sandy
Sandy is a beautiful purebred Aussie girl. Sandy would make a fantastic companion to a dog-savvy person who has the time to give her.

Sandy loves to give kisses and will jump into your arms (frisbee anyone?). She prefers her person to other dogs. Sandy likes hikes and swimming. She is highly intelligent, loving and affectionate once she knows you but she can be fearful if someone just walks up to her and tries to touch her without proper introductions.

To meet Sandy please contact Villa at rascalsmomno1@yahoo.com. This is what Villa has to say about Sandy; "Sandy has been here with me since the end of August and has been a perfect lady. She licks my face and hands and wants to be petted and hugged." Sandy deserves a home of her own with her own special person.

Dolly
Dolly is a one year-old black part Aussie with no tail with white feet and white on her belly. She weighs about 40 pounds and was found tied to a tree outside a Memphis vet's office. She was very thin. I am fostering her inside and am not sure where she was before that. When I got her she was shy and fearful but has improved a lot.

Dolly has all her shots, is heartworm negative, and is spayed with no medical issues. She has a medium activity level and loves to play with other dogs. Dolly loves to walk, is obedient, and stays with me when walking in the woods. She uses the doggie door when she needs to go pottie. She walks well on a leash and is crate trained.

Dolly gets along wonderfully with all the other dogs and cats and is not a dominant dog. She is very affectionate and likes to sit on the couch with me with her head on my lap, and follows me everywhere. Dolly loves to walk and run and would be good with any style family as she gets along with kids. She just wants someone to love her.

Bella
Bella is a beautiful blue merle Aussie/Terrier mix. She craves attention and can be very affectionate once she knows she can trust someone. She'd love to crawl up in your lap to get and give love. She's playful and will even make a toy of her food dish but she loves squeaky toys!

She is so much fun. Bella has medium energy but also calms down. Belle is spayed, up-to-date on her shots, is heartworm negative and on preventative, and she is dewormed.

She'd be a great addition to a home where she would feel safe and would do best with a small family with kids over six or single person. She does not like cats and needs to be a single pet. Bella knows "sit" and "come." She is crate trained and very good on a leash.
